Blender (preferably high-powered for smoother consistency)
Ingredients
1cupfresh or frozen strawberries
1ripe banana
1cupfresh spinach leaves
1cupalmond milkor any milk of your choice
Optional: 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup for sweetness
Optional: Ice cubesif using fresh strawberries
Instructions
Prepare the Ingredients:
If you're using fresh strawberries, wash them and remove the stems. If they're frozen, there's no need to thaw them.
Peel the banana and break it into chunks.
Wash the spinach leaves thoroughly.
Blend:
In a blender, add the spinach leaves and almond milk first. This helps in blending the spinach more effectively.
Add the strawberries, banana, and honey or maple syrup (if using).
Blend on high speed until all the ingredients are well combined and the smoothie has a smooth, creamy texture. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add a bit more milk to adjust the consistency.
Serve:
Pour the smoothie into glasses. If you didn't use frozen strawberries and prefer a colder drink, you can add a few ice cubes to the glasses.
Optionally, garnish with a strawberry or a small spinach leaf on top for a decorative touch.
Enjoy:
Drink immediately for the best flavor and nutrient retention.
Notes
If using frozen strawberries, there's no need to add ice.
For a vegan version, ensure the use of plant-based milk and a vegan sweetener.
The smoothie is best enjoyed immediately but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
